VolunteerMessage From The Founder
“Communication forms a significant part of our daily lives. People who present with aphasia face communication difficulties during daily interactions. Imagine not being able to send that text message to your loved one, or being unable to order for your favourite waakye or kenkey or being unable to argue with the boys on which football team is sure to win the cup! That is what aphasia feels like – loss of words! What we can do as communication partners is to modify our communicative environment by practising adaptive strategies to support everyday conversations with people with aphasia!”
